St Peter’s Old-Style Porter

St Peter’s Old-Style Porter is very good. The color is very black with a little caramel color around the edge of the glass.

The mouth feel is crisp with a body that is very good, which hangs on in the finish.

The aroma is a little nutty and malty, but very mellow.

The flavor is a classic porter with no off style characteristics.

I would recommend this beer as a good porter any time.

Rogue Chocolate Stout

The chocolate aroma is just wonderful. The color is just like dark chocolate.

There is a little sweetness in the beer, but the dry finish counters it very well.

It is a perfect beer for relaxing with friends to chat about those that couldn’t join you.

I think this a great beer to end the evening with before you kick all of the holiday visitors out for the night. 😉

McNeill’s Brewery Oktoberfest

McNeill’s Brewery Oktoberfest pours with a little haze and high carbonation.

There is a nice maltiness with a little alkaline finish. The flavor is very good, but I would not say that it is the best Oktoberfest that I have had.

It holds onto the head throughout most of drink.

The aroma is nutty with a little malt and hops in the background.

Happy Thankgivings Day

We started with the IPA. Three Floyds makes many great beers. This IPA has lots of fruit aromas that were very good with a dinner.

When we moved onto desserts, we moved into the stouts. The Night Stalker by Goose Island was great with an apple crisp as the main dessert. It was nice to transition to Three Floyds’ Moloko Milk Stout. The milk stout was nice and smooth, which was also very good with dessert.

Dogfish Head Raison D’Être

Dogfish Head Raison D’Être is a wonderful beer.

The flavors just jump out at you. I have already been told that I am picking up more of this beer on next trip by the store.

I should have written the review sooner so that I could described the details in the beer, but it will happen soon I promise.

New Belgium Fat Tire

I’m relaxing with a New Belgium’s Fat Tire while looking at the Great Smoky Mountains. I haven’t had one of these in many years.

It has a very mellow flavor made up of a good balance of malty and hoppy flavors.

The colors is a dark golden color.

I can see why a lot of people enjoy this beer.
